prahasya bhagavānprāha nāradaṃ prati vai tadā | kathamudvahane buddhirutpannā tasya śūlinaḥ | vijñātārtho'pi bhagavānnāradaṃ paripṛṣṭavān
Viṣṇu (Bhagavān)
Tirtha: Kedāra/Kedārakṣetra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Nārada
Scene: A serene divine court or Himalayan hermitage setting: the Lord smiles and questions Nārada, who stands with vīṇā, ready to narrate the cause of Śiva’s marriage-intent.
Even the omniscient participates in dialogue to reveal dharma and deepen the listener’s understanding.
The overarching setting remains Kedārakhaṇḍa (Kedāra tīrtha), though the exchange occurs in a cosmic court.
No ritual is prescribed; the verse introduces the backstory of the divine marriage.
