यज्ञो हि सत्यं लोके त्वं स त्वं देववरेश्वर । अनाहूतोऽसि तेनाद्य पित्रा मे दृष्टचारिणा । तत्सर्वं ज्ञातुमिच्छामि तस्य भावं दुरात्मनः

लोकी यज्ञ सत्यस्वरूप मानला जातो, आणि हे देवश्रेष्ठ ईश्वर, ते सत्य तूच आहेस. तरीही आज माझ्या कुटिल आचरणाच्या पित्याने तुला निमंत्रण दिले नाही. मला हे सर्व जाणून घ्यायचे आहे—त्या दुरात्म्याचा हेतू काय आहे?
