एवं निर्भर्त्सयित्वा तं कितवं धर्मराट्स्वयम् । उवाच चित्रगुप्तं च नरके पच्यतामयम् । तदा प्रहस्य चोवाच चित्रगुप्तो यमं प्रति
evaṃ nirbhartsayitvā taṃ kitavaṃ dharmarāṭsvayam | uvāca citraguptaṃ ca narake pacyatāmayam | tadā prahasya covāca citragupto yamaṃ prati
अशा रीतीने त्या जुगाऱ्याला धारेवर धरून धर्मराजांनी स्वतः चित्रगुप्ताला म्हटले— “याला नरकात पचू द्या।” तेव्हा चित्रगुप्त हसत यमराजांना उत्तर देऊ लागला।
