अन्तःक्षुरा वाङ्मधुराः कूपाश्धन्नास्तृणौरिव । कुर्वते ये बहून्मार्गांस्तांस्तान्हेतुबलन्विताः
antaḥkṣurā vāṅmadhurāḥ kūpāśdhannāstṛṇauriva | kurvate ye bahūnmārgāṃstāṃstānhetubalanvitāḥ
आतून ते क्षुरासारखे तीक्ष्ण, पण वाणी मधुर; जणू गवताने झाकलेला विहीर. जे अनेक (छलयुक्त) मार्ग निर्माण करतात, ते कारण-युक्ती व बळ यांच्या साहाय्याने एकामागून एक तसे करतात.
