तथा यस्तामसो नाम नरकं प्रतिपद्यते । भुक्त्वा बह्वीर्यातनाश्च स्थावरत्वं प्रपद्यते
tathā yastāmaso nāma narakaṃ pratipadyate | bhuktvā bahvīryātanāśca sthāvaratvaṃ prapadyate
तसेच जो ‘तामस’ म्हणविला जातो तो नरकास जातो. अनेक यातना भोगून तो स्थावर-योनी (वनस्पती इ.) प्राप्त करतो.
