रजस्तमश्च शोध्यंते सत्त्वेनैव मुमुक्षुभिः । तस्मात्कामं च क्रोधं च इंद्रियाणां प्रवर्तनम्
rajastamaśca śodhyaṃte sattvenaiva mumukṣubhiḥ | tasmātkāmaṃ ca krodhaṃ ca iṃdriyāṇāṃ pravartanam
मुमुक्षू सत्त्वाच्या साहाय्यानेच रज व तम शुद्ध करतात. म्हणून इंद्रियांची प्रवृत्ती—काम व क्रोधाकडे धावणारी—आटोक्यात ठेवून परिष्कृत करावी.
