कृशोतीव गलत्कुष्ठी प्रमुह्यंश्च पदेपेद । नंदभद्रमुवाचेदं कृच्छ्रात्संस्तभ्य बालकः
kṛśotīva galatkuṣṭhī pramuhyaṃśca padepeda | naṃdabhadramuvācedaṃ kṛcchrātsaṃstabhya bālakaḥ
तो बालक अत्यंत कृश होता, त्याचे कुष्ठ सडून वाहत होते, आणि तो पावलोपावली मूर्छित होत होता; मोठ्या कष्टाने स्वतःला सावरून त्याने नंदभद्राला हे शब्द सांगितले।
