स सदा नंदभद्रस्य विलोकयति चांतरम् । छिद्रं चेदस्य पश्यामि ततो धर्मान्निवर्तये
sa sadā naṃdabhadrasya vilokayati cāṃtaram | chidraṃ cedasya paśyāmi tato dharmānnivartaye
तो सदैव नंदभद्राच्या अंतःकरणाकडे व वर्तनाकडे पाहून उणीव शोधीत असे। ‘त्याच्यात जर एकही छिद्र दिसले, तर त्याला धर्मापासून परावृत्त करीन’ असे तो मनात म्हणे.
