लक्षयेयुः कृतादीनि हस्तयोस्तस्य हारिणः । सप्ताश्वत्थस्य पत्राणि भध्नीयुः करयोस्ततः
lakṣayeyuḥ kṛtādīni hastayostasya hāriṇaḥ | saptāśvatthasya patrāṇi bhadhnīyuḥ karayostataḥ
त्या व्यक्तीच्या दोन्ही हातांवरील कृतादी लक्षणे (रेषा-चिन्हे इ.) नीट पाहावीत. नंतर त्याच्या हातांवर अश्वत्थ (पिंपळ) वृक्षाची सात पाने बांधावीत।
