ततो यज्ञोपवीतं दद्यात् अनेन मंत्रेण । सूत्रतंतुमयं शुद्धं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । यज्ञोपवीतं देवेश प्रगृहाण नमोऽस्तु ते
tato yajñopavītaṃ dadyāt anena maṃtreṇa | sūtrataṃtumayaṃ śuddhaṃ pavitramidamuttamam | yajñopavītaṃ deveśa pragṛhāṇa namo'stu te
त्यानंतर या मंत्राने यज्ञोपवीत अर्पण करावे—‘शुद्ध सूत्रतंतूंनी बनलेले हे उत्तम, परम पवित्र यज्ञोपवीत; हे देवेश, कृपया स्वीकारा; आपल्याला नमस्कार असो।’
