वातपित्तकफादीनां वैषम्यं व्याधिरुच्यते । वातादीनां समूहश्च देहोऽयं परिकीर्तितः
vātapittakaphādīnāṃ vaiṣamyaṃ vyādhirucyate | vātādīnāṃ samūhaśca deho'yaṃ parikīrtitaḥ
वात, पित्त, कफ इत्यादींचे वैषम्य म्हणजे ‘व्याधी’ असे म्हटले जाते; आणि हा देह वात इत्यादी घटकांचा केवळ समूह आहे असे वर्णिले आहे.
