जन्मानि तावंति न संति देव निष्पीड्य सर्वाणि च सर्वकालम् । भूतानि यावंति मयात्र भीमे पीतानि संसारमहासमुद्रे
janmāni tāvaṃti na saṃti deva niṣpīḍya sarvāṇi ca sarvakālam | bhūtāni yāvaṃti mayātra bhīme pītāni saṃsāramahāsamudre
हे देव, सर्वकाळ वारंवार चिरडला जाऊन मी जितकी जन्मे भोगली, तितकी जन्मेही नाहीत; आणि या भीषण संसार-महासमुद्रात मी जितके प्राणी ‘पिले’—म्हणजे सहन करून भोगले—तितकेही नाहीत।
