असत्यसंधो निद्रालुर्दातायं तामसोऽधमः । त्रिशुक्लः कृशवृत्तिश्च घृणालुः सकलेंद्रियः
asatyasaṃdho nidrālurdātāyaṃ tāmaso'dhamaḥ | triśuklaḥ kṛśavṛttiśca ghṛṇāluḥ sakaleṃdriyaḥ
जो असत्याशी बांधलेला, निद्रालु आणि तमोगुणात बुडालेला दाता, तो अधम मानला जातो. असा मनुष्य—त्रिविध शुद्धीचा बाह्य देखावा असूनही—कृश वृत्तीचा, निर्दयी व इंद्रियाधीन असतो।
