ततश्चांडस्य शिरसो धारा नीरमयी शिवा । सर्वलोकान्समाप्लाव्य गंगा मेरावुपागता

त्यानंतर ब्रह्मांडाच्या शिरोभागातून शिवकृपाप्रसूत जलमयी पावन धारा प्रकट झाली। तिने सर्व लोकांना आप्लावित करून गंगारूपाने मेरुपर्वतास गाठले।
