ब्रह्माणमाह दैत्यस्तु निर्मृत्युत्वमहं वृणे । ब्रह्मोवाच । न कश्चिच्च विना मृत्युं जंतुरासुर विद्यते
brahmāṇamāha daityastu nirmṛtyutvamahaṃ vṛṇe | brahmovāca | na kaścicca vinā mṛtyuṃ jaṃturāsura vidyate
दैत्य ब्रह्मांना म्हणाला—“मी अमृतत्व, म्हणजे मृत्युरहितपणा, मागतो.” ब्रह्मदेव म्हणाले—“हे असुरा, मृत्यूविना कोणताही जीव नसतो.”
