विष्णुश्च दैत्येंद्रशरार्दितो भृशं भुशुंडिमादाय कृतांततुल्याम् । तया मुखं चास्य पिपेष संख्ये शुंभस्य जत्रुं च धराधराभम्
viṣṇuśca daityeṃdraśarārdito bhṛśaṃ bhuśuṃḍimādāya kṛtāṃtatulyām | tayā mukhaṃ cāsya pipeṣa saṃkhye śuṃbhasya jatruṃ ca dharādharābham
दैत्येंद्राच्या बाणांनी फार जखमी झालेला विष्णू कृतांतासारखी भुशुंडी गदा उचलून घेतो; रणात तिच्याने त्याचे मुख चिरडले आणि शुंभाची पर्वतासारखी जत्रुही फोडली।
