स दत्त्वा दुष्कृतं तस्मै पुण्यमादाय गच्छति । अपि वा शाकदानेन यद्वा तोयप्रदानतः । पूजयेत्तं नरः भक्त्या तेनैवातो विमुच्यते
sa dattvā duṣkṛtaṃ tasmai puṇyamādāya gacchati | api vā śākadānena yadvā toyapradānataḥ | pūjayettaṃ naraḥ bhaktyā tenaivāto vimucyate
तो (अतिथी) त्याचे दुष्कृत्य त्याच्याकडे ठेवून आणि त्याचे पुण्य घेऊन निघून जातो. म्हणून मनुष्याने भक्तीने अतिथीचा सत्कार करावा—शाकदानाने किंवा जलप्रदानाने जरी केले तरी; त्यानेच तो या दोषातून मुक्त होतो.
