सहायार्थं च सूर्यस्य यो द्विजो नांजलि त्रयम् । क्षिपेन्मंदेहनाशाय सोपि मंदेहतां व्रजेत्
sahāyārthaṃ ca sūryasya yo dvijo nāṃjali trayam | kṣipenmaṃdehanāśāya sopi maṃdehatāṃ vrajet
जो द्विज सूर्याच्या सहाय्यासाठी मंदेह-नाशार्थ तीन अंजली जल-अर्घ्य अर्पण करतो, तो जर विधिपूर्वक आचरण न करील तर तोही ‘मंदेह’पदास जाईल।
