अधमानधमांस्त्यक्त्वा कुलमुत्कर्षतां नयेत् । उत्तमानुत्तमानेव गच्छेद्धीनांश्च वर्जयेत् । ब्राह्मणः श्रेष्ठतामेति प्रत्यवायेन शूद्रताम्
adhamānadhamāṃstyaktvā kulamutkarṣatāṃ nayet | uttamānuttamāneva gaccheddhīnāṃśca varjayet | brāhmaṇaḥ śreṣṭhatāmeti pratyavāyena śūdratām
अधम व नीच संगतीचा त्याग करून आपल्या कुलाला उत्कर्षाकडे न्यावे. फक्त उत्तम व श्रेष्ठ जनांचीच संगत धरावी आणि हीनांना टाळावे. ब्राह्मण सदाचाराने श्रेष्ठत्व पावतो; पण अधर्म व पतनाने नीच अवस्थेला जातो.
