पंचपंचाशद्ग्रामाणां ते द्विजाश्च निवासिनः । चतुर्विद्यास्तु ते प्रोक्तास्तदादि तु त्रिविद्यकाः
paṃcapaṃcāśadgrāmāṇāṃ te dvijāśca nivāsinaḥ | caturvidyāstu te proktāstadādi tu trividyakāḥ
ते द्विज पंचावन्न गावांचे निवासी झाले. त्यांना ‘चातुर्विद्य’ असे म्हटले गेले, आणि त्या वेळेपासून (इतर) ‘त्रिविद्यक’ म्हणून ओळखले गेले॥
