चातुर्विद्यास्तथा प्रोक्ता अन्योन्यं वृत्तिमाश्रिताः । सत्रिभागास्तु त्रैविद्याश्चतुर्भागास्तु चात्रिणः
cāturvidyāstathā proktā anyonyaṃ vṛttimāśritāḥ | satribhāgāstu traividyāścaturbhāgāstu cātriṇaḥ
“अशा रीतीने चातुर्विद्य सांगितले गेले, जे परस्परांच्या उपजीविकेवर अवलंबून होते. त्रैविद्यांना तीन भाग, आणि चात्रिणांना चार भाग देण्यात आले.”
