गतास्ते वृत्तिभाजः स्युर्नान्ये वृत्त्यभिभागिनः । तत्र नैव गता ये वै चातुर्विद्यत्वमागताः
gatāste vṛttibhājaḥ syurnānye vṛttyabhibhāginaḥ | tatra naiva gatā ye vai cāturvidyatvamāgatāḥ
जे तेथे गेले, तेच वृत्ती-भागाचे खरे अधिकारी झाले; इतरांना त्या हक्कात वाटा नव्हता. पण ज्यांना ‘चातुर्विद्य’ पद प्राप्त झाले होते, ते तेथे गेलेच नाहीत.
