नारद उवाच । कीदृशी तत्कथा मे तां प्रशंस भवता श्रुताम् । कथां यम महाबाहो श्रोतुकामोस्म्यहं च ताम्

नारद म्हणाले—आपण ऐकून ज्याची प्रशंसा करता ती कथा कशी आहे? हे महाबाहु यमा, मला देखील तीच कथा ऐकायची आहे.
