त्रयोदश्यां तिथौ सायं प्रदोषः परिकीर्त्तितः । तत्र पूज्यो महादेवो नान्यो देवः फलार्थिभिः
trayodaśyāṃ tithau sāyaṃ pradoṣaḥ parikīrttitaḥ | tatra pūjyo mahādevo nānyo devaḥ phalārthibhiḥ
त्रयोदशी तिथीच्या संध्याकाळी ‘प्रदोष’ असे म्हटले आहे. त्या वेळी फल इच्छिणाऱ्यांनी फक्त महादेवाचीच पूजा करावी, अन्य देवाची नाही।
