goṣṭhāgnijalarathyāsu tarucchāyā nageṣu ca | tyajaṃti ye purīṣādyānārāmāyataneṣu ca

Translation

जे गोठ्यात, अग्निनिकट, पाण्यात, रस्त्यावर, वृक्षछायेत किंवा पर्वतांवर मल-मूत्रादी त्याग टाळतात; तसेच उद्यानांत व देवालय-परिसरांतही असे करत नाहीत—ते शौच व संयम पाळणारे (शिवमार्गी भक्त) मानले जातात.
