Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Highlights ekabhāva-bhakti (one-pointed devotion) within gṛhastha life as a valid Śaiva path; conjugal harmony becomes a support for dharma and Śiva-bhakti, leading toward grace.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights ekabhāva—single-minded devotion—as a Shaiva virtue that stabilizes the mind and sanctifies worldly life, showing that sincere bhakti can flourish even within household duties.
By stressing one-pointed devotion to the Lord (“mām”), it reflects the inner attitude required in Saguna Shiva worship—whether directed to the Linga or Shiva’s personal form—where steadiness of bhāva is primary.
The implied practice is ekāgratā (one-pointedness): daily Shiva-pūjā with steady bhāva, supported by japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a simple, consistent discipline.
