देवस्तुतिवर्णनम् (Deva-stuti-varṇana) — “Description of the Gods’ Hymn/Praise”
एतस्मिन्नंतरे साक्षाच्छिवः प्रादुरभूत्स्वयम् । यथोक्तेन स्वरूपेण वचनं चेदमब्रवीत्
etasminnaṃtare sākṣācchivaḥ prādurabhūtsvayam | yathoktena svarūpeṇa vacanaṃ cedamabravīt
त्याच क्षणी साक्षात् शिव स्वतः प्रकट झाले. पूर्वी सांगितलेल्या स्वरूपात प्रादुर्भूत होऊन त्यांनी हे वचन उच्चारले.
Suta Goswami (narrating the appearance of Lord Shiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): when the moment is ripe, the Supreme Lord becomes directly present, making His guidance and protection tangible to beings bound by pasha (limitations).
The verse emphasizes Saguna revelation—Śiva taking a describable form for devotees’ benefit. In Purāṇic devotion, this supports worship through accessible embodiments such as the Śiva-liṅga and other iconographic forms that lead the mind toward the Supreme.
Cultivate readiness for Śiva’s grace through steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and devotional remembrance (smaraṇa); the verse implies that sincere practice invites divine presence and instruction.
