Lord Shiva (as the supreme Pati, teaching the source and ownership of the manifest universe)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
Significance: Directs the bound soul (paśu) to recognize all manifestation, luminosity, origination, and ownership as belonging to Pati—foundation for śaraṇāgati and anugraha.
Mantra: ya idaṃ pratipaṃcyedaṃ yenedaṃ vicakāsti hi | yasmādidaṃ yataścedaṃ yasyedaṃ tvaṃ ca yatnataḥ
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It points to Shiva as the ultimate Pati—the source, revealer, and owner of the entire cosmos—and urges earnest inquiry and realization that the individual self also belongs to Him.
By declaring that the world shines by Him and arises from Him, it supports Saguna worship (such as Linga-upasana) as a concrete means to contemplate the transcendent Lord who pervades and manifests all forms.
The takeaway is focused contemplation and surrender: meditate on Shiva as the source and inner light of all, supported by japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady effort (yatnataḥ).
