जी स्त्री पतीचा द्वेष करते, तिच्याशी ती कधीही संभाषण करू नये. ती कुठेही एकटी राहू नये, आणि कधीही नग्न होऊन स्नान करू नये.
Lord Śiva (instructional discourse within the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa, conveyed in the Purāṇic narration)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches śauca (purity) and saṅga-śuddhi (purity of association): avoiding corrupting influences and cultivating restraint so the mind remains fit for devotion to Śiva and for loosening worldly bonds (pāśa).
Linga worship emphasizes inner and outer purity; this verse supports Saguna-Śiva bhakti by prescribing disciplined conduct and modesty, which stabilize the devotee’s mind for mantra, pūjā, and steady reverence.
The takeaway is ethical discipline as a support for sādhana: maintain cleanliness and modesty, keep sattvic company, and then practice Śiva-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steadiness.
