This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually, it frames the teaching as śāstra-pramāṇa (scriptural authority) delivered through Brahmā to Nārada, indicating that even themes like desire (Kāma) are to be understood under Śiva’s governance and dharmic order.
By placing the account within Rudra-saṃhitā and Pārvatī-khaṇḍa, it points to Śiva’s saguna līlā—Śiva as the Lord who regulates cosmic functions (including desire) and restores balance, a key devotional lens for worship of Śiva in form (Saguna) while recognizing His transcendent supremacy.
No specific rite is prescribed in this colophon; the practical takeaway is śravaṇa and manana—listening to and reflecting on the chapter’s teaching—supported by regular Śiva-upāsanā such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to discipline desire and align the mind with Pati (Śiva).
