The verse highlights Śakti’s conscious acceptance of the sacred union; in a Śaiva Siddhānta lens, it points to auspicious dharma performed rightly and the soul’s movement toward Pati (Śiva) through willing alignment and devotion.
Though it speaks of marriage, the narrative supports Saguna Śiva-bhakti: devotees honor Śiva’s divine līlā and rites, which culminate in the recognition of Śiva as Pati and the devotee’s reverent participation in sacred observances.
The takeaway is to approach auspicious rites with purity and commitment—supporting practices like japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and attending Śiva-related festivals/vratas (including Mahāśivarātri) with sincere sankalpa.
