कामदाहोत्तरवृत्तान्तः / Aftermath of Kāma’s Burning
Pārvatī’s Fear and Himavān’s Consolation
चिंतयती च तद्रूपं नियमस्था शराक्षरम् । जप मन्त्रं शिवे त्वं हि संतुष्यति शिवो द्रुतम्
ciṃtayatī ca tadrūpaṃ niyamasthā śarākṣaram | japa mantraṃ śive tvaṃ hi saṃtuṣyati śivo drutam
नियमात स्थित होऊन त्याच स्वरूपाचे ध्यान कर आणि षडाक्षर शिवमंत्राचा जप कर. हे देवी! या जपानेच शिव लवकर संतुष्ट होतो।
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: panchakshara
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches that disciplined living (niyama), meditation on Śiva’s form, and steady mantra-japa purify the soul (paśu) and loosen bondage (pāśa), leading to Śiva’s grace (anugraha) swiftly.
The verse emphasizes saguna-upāsanā—contemplating Śiva’s form—supported by mantra-japa; this same devotion can be practiced before the Śiva-liṅga as the tangible focus for meditation and worship.
Maintain niyama (purity, restraint, regular worship), meditate on Śiva’s form, and perform japa of the six-syllable Śiva mantra with concentration for quick inner steadiness and divine favor.
