Kumāra’s Departure to Mount Krāuñca
atho suduḥkhitau dīnau lokācārakarau tadā | jagmatustatra susnehātsvaputro yatra saṃsthitaḥ

It shows how intense sorrow can become a turning point: even while bound by worldly duties (loka-ācāra), one is driven by love to seek refuge and resolution—ultimately guiding the mind toward dependence on Pati (Śiva) rather than mere circumstance.
In Kotirudrasaṃhitā narratives, human distress often propels devotees toward sacred places and acts of devotion; this movement from grief to seeking mirrors approaching Saguna Śiva through pilgrimage, darśana, and Linga-upāsanā as accessible grace.
The practical takeaway is to transform grief into devotional action: undertake Śiva-smaraṇa with the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and, when relevant to the chapter’s pilgrimage setting, proceed with tīrtha-yātrā and simple worship (water offering) with a steady, dharmic mind.
