Sukta 7.87
आत्मा ते वातो रज आ नवीनोत्पशुर्न भूर्णिर्यवसे ससवान् । अन्तर्मही बृहती रोदसीमे विश्वा ते धाम वरुण प्रियाणि ॥
ātmā́ te vā́to rája ā́ navīnot paśúr na bhū́rṇir yávase sasavā́n | antár mahī́ bṛhatī́ ródasī ime víśvā te dhā́ma varuṇa priyā́ṇi ||
हे वरुणा! तुझा आत्माच वायु—प्राण—होऊन रजः, मध्यलोकांना नवे करतो; वेगवान भटक्या शक्तीसारखा तो आमच्या अंतः-पशुचर—अंतरीच्या चरागाह—वृद्धीसाठी धावतो. या दोन विशाल लोकांत—पृथ्वी आणि द्यौ—तुझे सर्व प्रिय धाम वसलेले आहेत; तेथे ऋताचे विधान आहे आणि आत्मा निवास करू शकतो.
