महाँ अस्यध्वरस्य प्रकेतो न ऋते त्वदमृता मादयन्ते । आ विश्वेभिः सरथं याहि देवैर्न्यग्ने होता प्रथमः सदेह ॥

mahā́m asyádhvarásya praketó ná ṛté tvád amṛ́tā mādayante | ā́ víśvebhiḥ sárathaṃ yāhi deváir ní agne hótā prathamáḥ sádehá ||

हे अग्ने, या अध्वर-यज्ञाचा तू महान् प्रकेत (विवेक-प्रकाश) आहेस; तुझ्याविना अमृत देवशक्ती आपल्या आनंदात प्रवेश करत नाहीत. सर्व देवांसह एकाच रथात, एकाच संगतीने येथे ये; आणि हे अग्ने, होतृ म्हणून येथे प्रथम—अग्रगामी—बैठ.
