उषो न जारः पृथु पाजो अश्रेद्दविद्युतद्दीद्यच्छोशुचानः । वृषा हरिः शुचिरा भाति भासा धियो हिन्वान उशतीरजीगः ॥

uṣó na jāráḥ pṛthú pā́jo aśret davídyutat dī́dyac chośucānáḥ | vṛ́ṣā hár iḥ śucírā́ bhāti bhāsā́ dhíyo hinvāná uśatī́r ajīgar ||

उषेच्या जाराप्रमाणे त्याने आपले विस्तीर्ण तेज पसरविले; विद्युत्सारखा चमकत, दिपत, स्व-दीप्तीत जळत आहे. वृषभासारखा बलवान हरि शुद्ध प्रभेने उजळतो; धियो (विचार) पुढे ढकलत, उशती—आकांक्षी शक्तींना त्याने जागृत केले.
