अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥
apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||
अपां (जलांच्या) उपस्थात महिषांनी त्याला ग्रहण केले; जनसमूह ऋग्मय राजाजवळ येऊन उभे राहिले. दूत मातरिश्वा परावत्—दूर अतीपलीकडून—विवस्वत् कडून अग्नीला, वैश्वानराला, घेऊन आला.
