Sukta 5.32
त्यस्य चिन्महतो निर्मृगस्य वधर्जघान तविषीभिरिन्द्रः । य एक इदप्रतिर्मन्यमान आदस्मादन्यो अजनिष्ट तव्यान् ॥
tyásya cin maható nirmṛgásya vádhar jaghāna táviṣībhir índraḥ | yá éka íd apratír mányamāna ā́d asmā́d anyó ajaniṣṭa távyān ||
त्या महान्, मुक्तसंचारी ‘वन्य’ (मृग) याच्या वध-शक्तीला इंद्राने आपल्या प्रचंड शक्तींनी चिरडून टाकले. जो स्वतःला एकटाच, अप्रतिद्वंद्वी मानत होता—त्याच्यापासून (किंवा त्यानंतर) त्याहून अधिक पराक्रमी दुसरा उत्पन्न झाला.
