प्र नू महित्वं वृषभस्य वोचं यं पूरवो वृत्रहणं सचन्ते । वैश्वानरो दस्युमग्निर्जघन्वाँ अधूनोत्काष्ठा अव शम्बरं भेत् ॥

prá nū́ mahitváṃ vṛṣabhásya vocaṃ yáṃ pū́ravo vṛtra-háṇaṃ sácante | vaiśvānaráo dásyum agnír jaghanvā́n ádhūnot kā́ṣṭhā áva śámbaraṃ bhet ||

आता मी त्या वृषभाच्या (पराक्रमीच्या) महिमेचे उच्चारण करतो—ज्याला पूरुजन ‘वृत्रहन्’ (अवरोध-नाशक) म्हणून अनुसरतात. वैश्वानर अग्नीने दस्यु-बलाचा संहार करून अडथळ्यांचे बंध झटके देऊन सैल केले आणि शंबराला भेदून टाकले.
