किमाह सीता वैदेही ब्रूहि सौम्य पुनः पुनः।पिपासुमिव तोयेन सिञ्चन्ती वाक्यवारिणा।।।।
kim āha sītā vaidehī brūhi saumya punaḥ punaḥ |
pipāsum iva toyena siñcantī vākyavāriṇā ||
वैदेही सीतेने काय सांगितले? हे सौम्य, मला पुन्हा पुन्हा सांग; जसे पाणी तहानलेल्या जीवाला तृप्त करते, तसे तिच्या वचनांच्या धारांनी मला सिंचित कर।
"O handsome Hanuman! Sita is like water for a thirsty person. Tell me again and again what Sita said to you. Sprinkle on me (life-giving) water of her words in the form of message.
Satya and dūta-dharma: the truthfully conveyed words of the virtuous sustain hope and guide righteous action.
