The Disruption of Madhuvana and Dadhimukha’s Complaint
तानुवाच हरिश्रेष्ठो हनुमान्वानरर्षभः।अव्यग्रमनसो यूयं मधु सेवत वानराः।।5.62.1।।अहमावारयिष्यामि युष्माकं परिपन्थिनः।
tān uvāca hariśreṣṭho hanumān vānararṣabhaḥ |
avyagramanaso yūyaṃ madhu sevata vānarāḥ ||5.62.1||
aham āvārayiṣyāmi yuṣmākaṃ paripanthinaḥ |
तेव्हा हरिश्रेष्ठ वानरर्षभ हनुमान त्यांना म्हणाला— “हे वानरांनो, मन निश्चिंत ठेवून मधु सेवन करा; तुमच्या मार्गातील अडथळे घालणाऱ्यांना मी रोखीन।”
Hanuman, the foremost of the monkeys, bull among vanaras said, 'Enjoy the honey devoid of any fear. I shall prevent those who object to your action'.
Leadership assumes responsibility for consequences: Hanumān boosts morale and takes upon himself the burden of confronting opposition—though the episode also foreshadows a dhārmic tension about enjoying protected property.
On reaching Madhuvana, the troop wishes to celebrate by drinking honey; Hanumān authorizes them to proceed and promises to handle any resistance from the grove’s guardians.
Protective leadership and confidence: Hanumān reassures the group and offers to face obstacles personally.
