रावणभवनपरिक्रमणं हनूमतः शोकविचारश्च

पल्वलानि तटाकानि सरांसि सरितस्तथा।नद्योऽनूपवनान्ताश्च दुर्गाश्च धरणीधराः।।।।लोलिता वसुधा सर्वा न तु पश्यामि जानकीम्।
palvalāni taṭākāni sarāṃsi saritas tathā |
nadyo ’nūpa-vanāntāś ca durgāś ca dharaṇīdharāḥ |
lolitā vasudhā sarvā na tu paśyāmi jānakīm ||
मी पल्वल, तळी-तलाव, सरोवर, ओढे-नद्या, नद्यांचे प्रवाह, दलदली वनांच्या कडा आणि दुर्गम पर्वत—सर्वत्र शोध घेतला। सारी वसुधा पालथी घातली, तरी जानकी दिसत नाही।
