काञ्चनं रथमास्थाय कामगं रत्नभूषितम्।पिशाचवदनैर्युक्तं खरैः काञ्चनभूषणैः।।3.35.6।।मेघप्रतिमनादेन स तेन धनदानुजः।राक्षसाधिपतिश्श्रीमान्ययौ नदनदीपतिम्।।3.35.7।।
kāñcanaṃ ratham āsthāya kāmagaṃ ratnabhūṣitam |
piśācavadanair yuktaṃ kharaiḥ kāñcanabhūṣaṇaiḥ ||
meghapratimanādena sa tena dhanadānujaḥ |
rākṣasādhipatiḥ śrīmān yayau nadanadīpatim ||
रत्नांनी भूषित, इच्छेनुसार धावणाऱ्या सुवर्ण रथावर आरूढ होऊन—काञ्चनभूषणांनी सजलेल्या पिशाचमुखी गाढवांनी युक्त—मेघगर्जनेसारखा नाद करीत धनद-कुबेराचा अनुज, श्रीमान राक्षसाधिपती रावण नद-नद्यांचा स्वामी समुद्राकडे निघाला।
