खरस्य सैन्योद्योगः
Khara Mobilizes the Janasthana Host
प्रवृद्धमन्युस्तु खरः खरस्वनो रिपोर्वधार्थं त्वरितो यथान्तकः।अचूचुदत्सारथिमुन्नदन्घनं महाबलो मेघ इवाश्मवर्षवान्।।3.22.26।।
pravṛddhamanyus tu kharaḥ kharasvano ripor vadhārthaṃ tvarito yathāntakaḥ |
acūcudat sārathim unnadan ghanaṃ mahābalo megha ivāśmavarṣavān ||
क्रोधाने प्रचंड झालेला, कठोर नाद करणारा खर शत्रुवधासाठी अंतकासारखा वेगाने धावला। गारांचा वर्षाव करणाऱ्या घन, महाबल मेघासारखा गर्जत तो सारथ्याला अधिक वेगाने हाकण्यास तगादा लावू लागला।
Restrain your tears and your anxieties I will send Rama along with his brother to the abode of Yama.
Unchecked anger (krodha) is shown as a driver toward violence; dharma requires mastery over anger and action guided by justice, not rage.
Khara, inflamed with rage, urges his charioteer to speed up as he rushes toward battle to kill Rama.
By negative example, the verse highlights the need for self-control; Khara embodies the opposite—impulsive wrath and destructive intent.
