वृत्तिं च शृणु राजेंद्र या स्मृता क्षेत्रवासिनाम् । स्वयं देवेन विप्राणां विष्ण्वादीनां समागमे

vṛttiṃ ca śṛṇu rājeṃdra yā smṛtā kṣetravāsinām | svayaṃ devena viprāṇāṃ viṣṇvādīnāṃ samāgame

हे राजेंद्र, क्षेत्रात वसणाऱ्यांची जी स्मृतिप्रसिद्ध आचारवृत्ती आहे तीही ऐक; विष्ण्वादी देवांसह ब्राह्मणांच्या सभेत स्वयं भगवंतांनीच ती ठरविली आहे।
