FAQs

“Raghūdvaha” means “the eminent one of Raghu’s line,” a common epithet for Śrī Rāma, the celebrated descendant of the Raghu dynasty.

It emphasizes universal supremacy and reverence: the one praised is so exalted that even traditional opponents of the devas acknowledge him by bowing.

The verse praises the ideal ruler/hero who subdues arrogance—teaching that true greatness is shown not by power alone, but by humility and the correction of pride.
