भवतामग्रतः सर्वं चरित्रं पापनाशनम् । संप्रवक्ष्याम्यशेषेण शृणुध्वं द्विजसत्तमाः

bhavatāmagrataḥ sarvaṃ caritraṃ pāpanāśanam | saṃpravakṣyāmyaśeṣeṇa śṛṇudhvaṃ dvijasattamāḥ

हे द्विजश्रेष्ठांनो, तुमच्या समोर पापनाशक हे सर्व चरित्र मी आता पूर्णपणे सांगतो; लक्ष देऊन ऐका.
