Sūta (colophon/closing formula of the text; chapter-ending rubric)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
This is the chapter-colophon marking completion of Adhyaya 58 and situating its teaching—cosmic origins (brahmāṇḍotpatti) presented within the glorification of Puruṣottama—so cosmology is framed as a means to deepen devotion and reverence for the Supreme.
By explicitly placing the cosmological narration inside “Puruṣottama-māhātmya,” it indicates that knowledge of creation is intended to culminate in Viṣṇu-centered bhakti—seeing the universe as dependent on and meaningful through Puruṣottama.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this closing rubric; its practical value is archival—identifying section, dialogue frame, and chapter title for accurate citation and study.
