adbhyo gaṃdhaḥ samutpanno gaṃdhātkṣitirajāyata | carācarasya niṣṭhā tu bhūmāveva pradṛśyate || 59 ||
जलापासून गंध उत्पन्न झाला; गंधापासून क्षिती—पृथ्वी—प्रकट झाली. चराचर सर्वांचा अंतिम आधार पृथ्वीमध्येच दिसून येतो.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the creation/elemental sequence)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It links the subtle-to-gross unfolding of creation (tanmātra to mahābhūta) and teaches that embodied existence ultimately returns to earth, highlighting impermanence and the need for dharma and spiritual pursuit.
By stressing that all embodied forms end in dissolution into earth, it encourages detachment from the temporary and supports turning the mind toward the eternal—Vishnu/Nārāyaṇa—who transcends the elements.
It reflects foundational tattva-knowledge used in Vedic ritual reasoning: offerings and cremation rites (antyeṣṭi) emphasize bhūmi as the resting ground, aligning ritual practice with the panchabhuta framework.
