The Discourse of Rukmāṅgada
Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma
satye sthitā hi taravaḥ phalapuṣpapradarśinaḥ | divyādisādhanaṃ nṝṇāṃ satyādhāraṃ mahīpate || 89 ||
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
The verse teaches that satya (truthfulness) is not merely moral conduct but the sustaining base of all higher spiritual results—just as a tree rooted firmly can naturally produce flowers and fruits.
Bhakti is strengthened by inner integrity; truthfulness stabilizes the devotee’s mind and conduct, making worship, vows, and pilgrimage fruitful rather than merely external.
No specific Vedanga technique is taught; the practical takeaway is dharmic discipline—satya as a foundational niyama that supports mantra-japa, vrata observance, and tirtha-related rites.
